Puffers is a shared inhaler dose tracker for Android. It helps caregivers log a person's inhaler doses, count the puffs remaining, and coordinate so a dose is never missed or double-given. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.

Summary

Puffers contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party trackers.
The only outside service is "Sign in with Google," which is optional — you can use a username and password instead.
Data you create (medications, doses, household members) is stored on your device and, when you sign in, on the app's own server so it can sync to the other phones in your household.
Your household's data is visible only to members you approve. It is never sold.

Data the app collects

Medication and dose information is health-related personal data. It is collected only because you enter it, and used only to provide the tracking and sharing features of the app.

How data is stored and protected

Data is held on your device and on the app's server (operated by the developer). Account passwords are stored only as a one-way hash, never in plain text.
All communication between the app and the server uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
Your household's data is accessible only to household members whom the household owner has explicitly approved.

Sharing

Puffers does not sell your data and does not share it for advertising. Data is shared only with the household members you invite and approve, and with Google, solely to authenticate you, and only if you choose "Sign in with Google."

Children

Puffers is intended for use by adults (parents and caregivers) to manage a dependent's medication. It is not directed to children under 13. A patient profile may include a child's first name, which is entered by the supervising adult.

Your choices and data deletion

You can remove medications, members and reference photos in the app at any time.
Clearing the app's data or uninstalling removes the copy on your device.
To delete your account and the data associated with it on the server, use the account & data deletion page (or email yorkie.joey.joester@gmail.com). Verified requests are actioned within 30 days.
